About the Artist

South African born artist, writer and photographer Francisco Little grew up in the wide-open spaces of Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, where he studied Fine Art and developed a deep love of nature.

Francisco’s influences are many. He is inspired by his mother, herself an accomplished artist, the energy and colors of the African bush, extensive travel adventures to the world’s five continents and the calming atmosphere of scenic Cape Town, South Africa, where he does most of his painting.

Possessing an intuitive understanding of color, Francisco has, over the years developed a bold recognizable abstract style. “I sometimes feel more like an alchemist than an artist, and have learned to see and also listen to color,” he says.

The greeting cards are created as miniature artworks.

A qualified calligrapher, the inclusion of elements of the alphabet and thought provoking wording often find their way into both his cards and paintings.

Francisco’s artwork has, over the years, challenged the viewer with an underlying spiritual element and the desire to communicate and inspire. He has held several exhibitions and to date the bulk of his work has been sold to collectors, corporate clients and those with a love of color.

Francisco is also an award-winning photographer with a passion for street photography.

Francisco currently lives in Beijing, PRC.

“The only way to work with color, and deal with life, is to trust the process.”
